HAPPY MONDAY!

We hope you had a good weekend with the snow!

As from today,  we have our very new and exciting platform - Class Dojo. Your parent(s) should have received an email with instructions on how to register you on this website. If they haven't yet done this, nag them to do so! Then, you will be able to upload work that you are proud of so we can see it and you can send us messages if you need help with your learning. We have NEVER used it before so please be patient if something isn't working. Just like you, we are learning too!

There will be a morning meeting at 9:15am every day! (Only for about 10 minutes though!). Fingers crossed this will all work in the morning.

Mrs Pearce is looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces!

Then, at 1:45, you are invited to an afternoon meeting where an adult will be reading you a story for about 10 minutes.

At the moment, you may find you are on a screen for more than an hour a day as you are using them for learning. So have plenty of time away from a screen when your school day is finished.

Optional Extra

Design a poster to help people remember a Golden Rule.

Topic - STONE AGE

Last week we watched a detailed video which gave us lots of information about what prehistory is. This week we are going to look at timelines more closely.

Have a look at this one and then answer these key questions with your adult.

Timeline

Which period has the longest duration?

Which period has the shortest duration?

How do you know?

Now take a look at this Powerpoint to understand the letters BC and AD and how they can help us to put dates in the correct order.

Timeline Powerpoint

Time  for you to have a go at putting into order some key dates of stone age history.

You can print the cards out and stick in the correct order in your book or you can copy the cards onto paper and stick them in your Remote Learning exercise books.

Korma - Green cards only

Balti/Vindaloo - Green and Orange cards

Stone Age Ordering Task

(ANSWERS are at the end of the above document for you to check against before you stick them in)

 French

Last week we started learning some new vocabulary all about pets.

If you need to remind yourself how to pronounce the words here is the link again.

BBC Pets page

There are probably some more unusual pet words that you are curious to learn, so here they are.

Pet Powerpoint

Your task is to draw a poster featuring some pets with their correct names in French (spelling must be correct!)

We would love to see your finished posters uploaded to our Y3 Purple Mash Log.
