Music
At Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery all children take part in music lessons that aim to develop their creative and performance skills.
All music lessons follow the Charanga scheme of work across the school.
Within lessons, children listen to and critique music from different genres; sing; play tuned and untuned instruments; explore how music is created; and participate in group music making activities.
Children sing in groups and as individuals throughout the school and singing is a key feature of all of the productions that take place throughout the year.
A number of peripatetic music teachers visit the school and give children the opportunity to learn specific instruments. Further details are available from the school office.
