Writing
The use of engaging, relevant and high quality texts is central to our writing curriculum.
These act as stimuli for children to develop and explore their writing skills.
Children write for purpose and audience wherever possible through a variety of genres. Grammar is taught as both a discrete subject and integrated into our English curriculum.
Handwriting
At Earls Colne Primary School and Nursery, children are encouraged to use a part cursive script from Foundation Stage. Please see our English policy for more details.
We follow the Nelsons Thornes programme.
